Just a few quick notes to keep everyone up to speed. Niger is currently still very tight with

only about 1/6th the usual shipments from over-seas arriving at U.S. docks. Keep selling the

Niger & Hearts Finch Mix to stretch the Niger Seed. The finches do enjoy the mix very much.

The past week or two has seen a hike in sunflower prices. The USDA report on March 31 showed Sunflower stocks are down 14% compared to last year. That doesn’t bode well, because that counts the poor, September frost-bitten Sunflower of North Dakota and northern Minnesota. So we are paying a pretty penny for the good, heavy seeds we normally carry. The trend will continue upward this summer, until new crop harvest in October.

Pray for rain and good crops this year.
